The word Orenda is an Iroquois name for a mystical force present in all people that empowers them to affect the world, or to effect change in their own lives. This word inspired me to create an art piece that represents the sense of symbiosis I find in the mixture of cultures between Africa and Brazil, and its influence in the collective unconscious of the Brazilian Nation.

This triptych is my tribute to the African cults and traditions I incorporated over my existence in Brazil and Europe. The African Culture always empowered me to be the way I am, helped me to make changes, affected the way I see the world, and was a strong influencer in every moment of my life as a Spanish-Brazilian, woman and visual artist.
